Faculty Group Practice

UFGIM faculty internists take pride in caring for patients throughout wellness and major illness, in both ambulatory and complex hospital settings. Our faculty attend at over 50,000 clinic visits and over 10,000 hospital patient visits annually. As academic internists, we have the primary responsibility for training students and residents in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic diseases typically encountered in General Internal Medicine practice. Our clinics are highly resourced and offer immunizations, point of care testing, health coaching, and co-management of diabetes, anticoagulation, and hypertension in conjunction with clinical pharmacists at each site. We strongly emphasize evidence-based practice, disease prevention, and health promotion.

The Division of General Internal Medicine maintains three full-service internal medicine practices of expertly trained and board-certified UF faculty physicians. At each location, patients can enjoy comprehensive consultations, evaluations, and treatments.
